Hip hop was built by young people who dared to express and explore their dreams, young men and women who would not allow society to put boundaries on their capabilities. DJ K-Rock a native of Staten Island, New York was just fourteen when he began cuttin’, scratchin’, and stage performing. He started his professional DJ career at the age seventeen, when he partnered with rapper MC Lyte in 1987.
